Acorn Blue sponsor Zapcat power boat races
As reported in the Western Morning News (21 April 2010), powerboat races could bring in £750,000 to the area. By being one of the Zapcat Grand Prix race sponsors, Acorn Blue are pleased to be helping bring this "awesome event to Newquay". The weekend races started at Fistral Beach, with the Zapcats performing aerial leaps at speeds of up to 50mph.
The Pearl, Cribbar and Fistral Beach developments are all ideally located alongside Fistral Beach.
Acorn Blue supports the RNLI 2010
Acorn Blue, developers of luxury beachfront apartments on the North Cornish coast, has recently chosen the RNLI as its long term charity supporting volunteer lifeboat crew and lifeguards in their life saving work around the Cornish Coast. Acorn Blue are making regular donations to the RNLI from their fundraising efforts and provide literature about the charities services to each client.

Acorn was proud to be the main Platinum sponsor at the Acorn Newquay International Rugby 7s Tournament in 2008.
Newquay Enjoys Incredible Success
[From Newquay Surf Sevens website] Newquay enjoyed a magnificent sporting weekend, when the biggest Rugby event in the town's history was enjoyed by more than a thousand players plus their supporters at Newquay Sports Centre [...] The incredibly successful festival of rugby rivaled any in Europe when internationally-renowned professional seven-a-side rugby teams competed for over £10,000 worth of prize money, with another £12,000 going to Cornish charities. Acorn Newquay International Rugby 7's, the first ever seven-a-side Rugby Tournament held in Newquay lived up to its promise and provided a weekend full of festival rugby.
