What we've done

Valentine, SE1

Valentine was a derelict public house in a prime position between Weston Street and Long Lane in London’s South Bank.

Acorn entered into a joint venture with the landowner and obtained enhanced planning permission, increasing the site’s potential and profitability. Acorn managed the funding, construction and sales process.

The ground floor commercial space was reorganised to make it suitable for a blue chip tenant which Acorn London then identified.

The Chocolate Box, Bournemouth

Acorn South was approached to purchase Heron House, an unattractive 8-storey 1970s office block in central Bournemouth, we immediately saw the potential to refresh the building and turn it into a successful mixed-use scheme.

The copper and brown building was named The Chocolate Box. The ground floor banking premises were retained and Acorn South provided over 14,000 sq ft of commercial space over the next two floors and converted the remaining six floors of the existing building to create fifty-four sensibly priced first-time buyer and investor apartments. Subsequently, we obtained planning permission for side and upper floor extensions comprising an additional 10 apartments and five duplex penthouses.

The Dunes, Perranporth, Cornwall

Overlooking the sands of Perranporth, Acorn is offering a unique opportunity to let a fantastic seafront restaurant.

Become part of Cornwall’s food revolution with a spectacular and unique restaurant in a prime position overlooking Perranporth Beach. Inside, the restaurant provides open plan accommodation that extends onto an exclusive west facing terrace.

Located on the rugged North Cornwall Coast, Perranporth is only a short distance from many of Cornwall’s superb attractions. It is 6 miles southwest of Newquay and 7 miles northwest of Truro. Nestling beautifully amongst rolling hills and areas of outstanding natural beauty, Perranporth with its three miles of golden sands, clear waters, spectacular cliff walks and famous surf, attracts visitors from all over the world.
