National Picnic Week: Our Top 5 Picnic Spots in the UK

This national Picnic Week (15th- 24th June), we wanted to share with you our top 5 favourite picnicking spots around the UK…

1. Bute Park, Cardiff
With 56 hectares of land, Bute Park is one of the largest urban parks in Wales. With plenty of space to enjoy a picnic, there’s also so much else to enjoy from numerous natural play features for kids, an education centre and an urban woodland, plus so much more!

2. Alexandra Park, Bath
This lovely park offers something for everyone and is the perfect spot for a picnic. A wonderful, tranquil green space with mature trees; this 11-acre park provides magnificent panoramic views of the city and the surrounding wooded vales and hills. If you love the city of Bath just as much as we do, then why not check out our Hope House development, which is also situated in this beautiful city.

3. Kimberley Park, Falmouth
This seven-acre park is stunning in the summer thanks to its variety of trees and flowers making it a beautiful setting for a picnic. What’s more, Kimberley Park is only a 15-20 minute walk from the seafront and 5-10 mins from the town centre, so that you can continue spending your day enjoying just some of the things that Falmouth has to offer.

4. Salisbury Cathedral Close, Salisbury
Picnic in Salisbury’s medieval Cathedral Close and take in the impressive Cathedral, historic houses and pretty little gardens belonging to the local residents.
