Claire, Dan, Georgia, Maddie and Jess from Acorn Cardiff recently took part in Le Gros Solicitors’ charity football tournament for the second year in a row. This year, the chosen charity was 2 Wish Upon A Star – a local charity set up by Rhian Burke who tragically lost both her son and husband in 2012. Focussing on the lack of support she felt at that time, Rhian has raised both money and awareness for improvements to bereavement services in Wales. Emphasis has been on bereavement support for parents after losing a child or young adult under 25 years of age suddenly and traumatically.
The event raised over £1,000 for the cause – a huge well done to all those involved!
