Completion on purchase of prestigious Falmouth site

September 24, 2018

Our Devon and Cornwall office, Acorn Blue has completed on the purchase of the former Falmouth Beach Hotel for their development The Liner, which overlooks the award-winning Gyllyngvase beach.

The development comprises fifty-three, 1, 2 and 3-bedroom beachfront apartments and penthouses all with underground parking, as well as a 2,615 sqft restaurant and 548 sqft retail unit. Designed by Poynton Bradbury Wynter Cole Architects, the apartments will have uninterrupted south-facing sea views, floor to ceiling windows and balconies. Residents will benefit from easy access to the immediately adjacent state-of-the-art wellbeing facilities at St Michaels Hotel, Spa and Health Club and easy access to the nearby town centre and harbour which is less than 1 mile away.

We achieved full planning consent in July 2018 and construction work is due to start next month. Construction work will be undertaken by Acorn’s direct construction subsidiary, AHCSL and completion is expected in Summer 2020.

Andrew Strathdee, Development Director of Acorn Blue said: “We believe this is one of the best sites in Cornwall and will provide spectacular homes for owner-occupiers, second homes or retirement living. Each apartment makes the most of the sea views and beachfront setting and interest from buyers has already been unprecedented.”
