Show Apartment Spotlight: Chequers House

July 18, 2019

If you’re looking for a home in the city recently named ‘Best Place to Live 2019’ by The Times then look no further than the apartments at Chequers House, Salisbury.

Located in the city centre, Salisbury offers a variety of independent and high-street restaurants, cafes and shops just a stone’s throw away from the apartments at Chequers House. Connections further afield couldn’t be easier with the train station only a 10 minute walk away, where you can catch direct trains to London, Bath, Bristol, Portsmouth Southampton and Exeter.

The vibrant city offers a wealth of historic attractions including Salisbury Cathedral and the well-known Market Place which still holds regular markets. For arts and culture head to the Salisbury Playhouse or Salisbury Arts Centre and find theatre, films, exhibitions and more.

Set in a thoughtfully converted building, the stunning 2 bedroom Show Apartment exemplifies the high-quality specification at Chequers House. The open plan kitchen/living/dining area has been designed to create a flowing modern room with light wood flooring, large windows and high ceilings enhancing the bright and airy space. The fresh appearance continues throughout the apartment, with simple soft gold fixtures and a natural palette with blue accents for the furnishings.

The interior was designed by Kim Harvey Interiors, Kim commented on the thinking behind the design:
“With the homes having such a broad appeal from first time buyers to downsizers, we wanted to ensure that the property felt calm and inviting yet fit for contemporary city living. For the colour palette we set about incorporating warm natural base tones and soft greys combined with subtle flashes of muted blues. Clean lined furniture, lighting and artwork in soft gold metals were incorporated to enrich a contemporary minimalist feel. Natural linen fabrics in geometrics were used to create striking upholstery features and combined with sisal flooring to add texture and create a smart and modern yet homely living space.”

The contemporary city homes at Chequers House offer stunning open plan living, large windows, high ceilings, contemporary fitted kitchens by Stormer with integrated appliances, underfloor heating throughout, lift access and parking in a secure courtyard is available.
