London’s South Bank is an eclectic blend of old-world charm with modern amenities. From its historic landmarks to its trendy cafes and boutiques. Once home to many factory and dock workers in the early 20th century, the area has undergone significant transformation over the years.

Drawing visitors from all over, this corridor of South East London is famous for its well known markets. Taking place every Friday morning is the Bermondsey Antiques market. Here, visitors can browse a vast selection of antiques and collectibles. Known for its bustling atmosphere and diverse range of offerings is the renowned Maltby Street market. A popular food and drink market open on Saturdays and Sundays, offering a wide selection of high-quality food and beverages

from a range of independent traders. Throughout its recent regeneration, this part of Southwark has managed to retain its unique character and charm. The neighbourhood is home to several artisan cafés, boutiques and galleries. One of the world’s leading contemporary art galleries, White Cube resides here, making it a popular destination for artists, designers and creatives alike and it is steeped in history, with many historical buildings and landmarks to see, such as the renowned Tower Bridge. It’s easy tofind inspiration in the local architecture and cultural heritage. Bermondsey, the home of our forthcoming Steel Yard House development has the upper hand, being well connected to the rest of London. There are excellent transport links, including several underground stations and bus routes. Not only that but an array of resources are available too. Such as co-working spaces, libraries and community centres, all providing the opportunity to collaborate with others and for Bermondsey’s creative network to thrive. Despite being located in the heart of London, there are the many parks and green spaces, offering a welcoming respite from the hustle and bustle. Namely, Southwark Park and Bermondsey Spa Gardens all providing the chance to relax, unwind and find inspiration in nature.

What really makes Bermondsey stand out is that it is home to a diverse and vibrant community, with residents from many different backgrounds and cultures. Such is reflected in the local food scene, with many independent restaurants and cafés
