Romy Summerskill

Chairman and Founder

Romy worked as an estate agent in central London for many years prior to forming Acorn in the early 1990s. Romy managed development projects, funding and sales at Acorn directly for many years until the team expanded. Romy is now Chairman of the Group and oversees development design, group management and expansion.

John Skok

Founder and Group Operations Director

With over 30 years experience, John heads the acquisition team nationally and the vast majority of the group’s joint ventures both with landowners and other developers. He has extensive knowledge of all kinds of developments ranging from refurbishments, single luxury units, multi-storey residential blocks, commercial properties and multi-phased regeneration projects.

Melanie Omirou

Group Managing Director and Funding Director

Melanie has been at Acorn for over 10 years. She has combined her previous experience in estate agency and banking to form her primary role to procure and manage funding for all site purchases and their development. In addition to this, she has managed new projects from their inception through to sales of the end product.

Julian Hampson BA (Hons) DipArch RIBA

Group Design Director

Julian has been a qualified Architect for over 25 years and has extensive experience in urban design and regeneration as well as in residential development. He has worked with a number of high profile architects and urban designers as well as working for several leading residential developers. He was Chief Architect for Goldcrest Land from 2004-2007 and for Fairview Homes from 2007-2011 leading their design departments. Having worked on both the ‘client’ and ‘design’ sides he understands the benefits that the right combination of design and investment can bring to an area.

Duncan Rothwell MRICS MCIOB

Commercial Director and Group Quantity Surveyor

With over 30 years experience in building and civil engineering projects, Duncan prepares construction cost plans from feasibility to post contract stages. He liaises with consultants and authorities, advises on procurement options, contract amendments, warranties and guarantee’s, tender selection, appraisals and the appointment of the contractor. Duncan oversees the preparation of all contract documents, valuations, funders, bank drawdowns and agrees on final accounts.

Nicola Markham

Joint Regional Managing Director and Group Sales Director

Nicola joined Acorn in 2008 to head up the South West sales and marketing team based in Newquay. Since then her role has expanded to Group Sales Director of Acorn Property Group and Joint Managing Director of Acorn Blue and comprises her being involved in every development from the design stages through to the handover of each property.

Rickard Eriksson FCCA

Finance Director

Rickard has worked at Acorn since January 2002 and laid the foundations for the financial control procedures and risk management at Acorn. He gained his ACCA membership in 2006 and became a Fellow in 2011. Rickard oversees the finance team involved in analysing our projects and is responsible for our Group-wide projections and Cashflow

Dane Cummings BSc (Hons) MRICS

Regional Managing Director and Head of Commercial Property

Based in the London Head Office and a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Dane has many years of experience working with Acorn Property Group. Dane’s experience started in acquisitions and disposals, which soon saw him moving into property management of the residential sector. Dane’s knowledge, drive and enthusiasm have led him to head up commercial property throughout the Acorn portfolio across the South of the UK, managing commercial units for sale or to let in some of Britain’s most prime waterfront and city locations.

Scott Collier BA (Hons)

Land and Planning Director

Scott is a qualified town planner with 17 years of experience in town planning and inner city town planning issues having previously worked with Tower Hamlets.  He has worked in the private sector since 2003 dealing with all the aspects of the planning process and property acquisition. He is also a qualified PRINCE2 practitioner in project management. Scott manages the land team, advises the development team and liaises with architects and associated consultants ensuring the planning process runs as smoothly as possible.

Edward Heldreich BSc (Hons) MRICS

Acquisitions Director

Edward has a wealth of experience, in excess of 20 years in commercial and residential property including property development, bank valuations, rent reviews, lease renewals, rating in all parts of the country. Over the last 14 years, Edward has specialised in acquiring and developing mixed-use schemes throughout London but predominately in the Southbank region of London.

As Group HR Director Mette is responsible for the implementation of Acorn’s human resource strategies and objectives across our regional offices. Having worked at Acorn for 17 years she has been instrumental in establishing our reputation as flexible and responsible employers, who support the growth and development of our team

Steve has over 25 years IT infrastructure experience including 15 years in leading private sector business and Global companies such as Christie ’s, SAB Miller and Mott McDonald. Fulfilling management, service delivery and support, networks and project delivery across varying business sectors, Steve has extensive experience of driving change and improvements through internal service frameworks and with external vendors.

Christina Massos

Executive Assistant to Board

Christina joined Acorn in 2005 and works closely with the Executive Board team and in particular on the funding and group operations. She manages strategic tasks and processes at the direction of the main board both in relation to external and internal group matters.

Rena Makwana-Mistri BA (Hons)

Before joining Acorn, Rena undertook a variety of projects in the fields of both residential and commercial property for bespoke, individual projects and large-scale development. Rena captures the essence and trend of a development’s surroundings through the medium of design. Rena carefully considers every aspect and detail of the design, ensuring each specification is unique to the development and meets the demands and aspirations of the buyer. Whilst at Acorn, Rena has successfully designed award-winning interiors and continues to be inspired by the individuality of each Acorn development.

Caroline Wall BA (Hons)

Design and Procurement

Caroline has over 20 years of experience working as a Buyer where she successfully headed large teams and multi-million-pound departments to help turn profits across a varied range of products. Caroline joined Acorn in November 2015 and has been using the skills she has gained in business, including negotiation, supplier liaison and critical path management in her role for the Group in Design and Procurement.

Jane Tooley MRICS

Development Manager and Group Asset Manager

Jane has over 15 years’ experience in strategic and pro-active asset and development management overseeing a variety of successful commercial and mixed-use projects, together with forward funding, investment acquisition and disposals. Jane’s role at Acorn will include the direct management of larger projects, assisting the Board in auditing and monitoring their development programmes and working with teams in all offices to introduce best practice procedures to assess the value of changes and reduce project risk.

Having studied at London South Bank University, Myles joined Acorn Property Group after working in residential sales in SE1, one of Acorn’s core London markets. Myles assists the London Land Team in sourcing new land opportunities through establishing contact with agents & landowners and securing new sites suitable for commercial and residential development.

Charles Benyon

Land Manager

After studying Real Estate Management for three years at Oxford Brookes, Charlie spent two and a half years working for Currell Estate Agents within their Land and Investment Department brokering off-market acquisitions across North and East London. Charlie then joined the Acorn Land team in September 2017 to assist with sourcing and acquiring new land opportunities suitable for commercial and residential development.

Colleen Moon

Executive Assistant to Land

Colleen has been at Acorn for over 14 years. In her role as Executive Assistant, she oversees the development team where she assists with the administration of all London projects including site acquisition, acquisition budgets and invoicing. Colleen sees each of London’s projects through from acquisition to sales.

Lisa Russell BSc (Hons)

Project Manager

Lisa chartered as a Quantity Surveyor at Davis Langdon & Everest (now Aecom) where she worked for almost 10 years. She moved into managing projects utilising her wide experience working closely with design teams from concept design through to completion. Lisa is responsible for managing Acorn’s London residential projects through the planning, procurement and construction stages.

Gilbert Gerber, ARB APMP

Project Manager

With over 20 years industry experience, Gilbert is an Architect and Project Manager. He is assisting the Acorn Property Group with the Project Management of a number of London projects, varying from 10-100 units. Gilbert previously worked as an Architect in Central London, before he joined BDP as a project manager where his involvement included the design and construction stages of many prestigious projects for some of the UK’s largest public and private sector organisations.

Niall Styles BSc (Hons) MSc

Associate QS

Niall has experience in Project QS and Commercial Manager roles, he started his career working for Skanska after completing his QS degree and more recently worked for Mace. Niall assists the land team with the forecasting of construction costs and will operate in the role of QS for the region’s projects.

Tom Selby BArch (Hons)

Assistant Architect/CGI Artist

Tom joined Acorn as a CGI Artist and Part-I Assistant Architect in 2013. With a strong 3D software skills-set, he assists with all aspects of Acorn’s design process, from concept through to sales, producing marketing standard 3D visuals for Acorn’s brochures. Tom has developed a substantial visual portfolio, producing 3D artwork in close collaboration with architects and designers on a wide range of projects.

Stephanie Kaul

Design Manager

Stephanie holds a bachelor’s degrees in Construction Management and Architecture and a Masters in Architecture from the University of Melbourne. Having worked for main contractors as both a Design and Sustainability Manager on large-scale commercial projects in Australia and London, Stephanie’s role is to facilitate the design from concept through to handover.

Diana Danielsson BArch (Hons)

Design Assistant

Diana holds a degree in Architecture from the Danish Royal Academy of Fine Arts and has worked within property development and interior design in her home country, Sweden before moving to the UK. Diana’s role at Acorn is to ensure a high level of detailed design is carried out in each development. Diana has experience working with both new build and regeneration projects.

Kyla Campbell

Regional Sales and Marketing Manager and Aftercare

Kyla has worked for Acorn Property Group for over 18 years. Kyla manages the London Sales Team and is responsible for overseeing the delivery of Acorn’s new developments to the market. Kyla works with Acorn’s agents to maximise the potential of each project and takes a lead role in the reporting and negotiation of offers. Additionally, Kyla implements policy for the Group’s investment portfolio managing all disposals and acquisitions.

Samantha Bertie

Sam has over 20 years experience as an internal and external communications professional working predominantly for global corporations. Working with the communications and marketing team Sam’s role at Acorn is to carry out Public Relations whilst increasing brand awareness.

Marta Ochocka LLB (Hons)

In-house Solicitor

Prior to joining Acorn in 2017, Marta had worked as a solicitor in the City where she was involved in advising clients on commercial, residential and industrial property matters. As Acorn’s In-House Solicitor Marta is the Group’s first port of call on all legal issues arising from any of our developments as well as negotiating our Joint Venture agreements.

Gosia Medzia MA

Head of Finance

Gosia has a Masters Degree in Corporate Finance and Accounting and is an ACCA finalist. She has worked at Acorn since 2007, with a prior two years of accountancy roles working for Renault, RCI Financial Services and Jupiter Asset Management.

Yonatan Ayele BA (Hons)

Financial Controller

Yonatan joined the Finance team at Acorn in 2010. He is responsible for financial and compliance aspects of the group, including carrying out analysis and due diligence for potential investments and monitoring the existing portfolio. Yonatan holds a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance.

Anca joined Acorn in 2010. Anca manages the Accounts team and deals with all aspects of VAT within the group. Anca holds a degree in Communications and Public Relations and is a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians.

Alina joined Acorn in 2014 having previously worked within Finance and Credit control in private industry sectors. Alina’s diligence, attention to detail and knowledge ensure that Acorn’s purchase ledger function and banking operations run smoothly for the group.

Anthea joined Acorn in 2016 having previously gained accounts payable and bookkeeping experience in the retail industry. A strong communicator and team player with an excellent awareness of deadlines – Anthea is a key member of the Acorn team ensuring that our Purchase Ledger system runs seamlessly on a day to day basis.

Stuart spent three years working with Acorn Property Group in London and around the UK, transferring to Acorn Blue in 2006 to drive developments in Cornwall. Stuart’s role is to acquire sites for the company and manage them from acquisition through planning and construction and finally sales, making sure the project is run on time and on budget.

Duncan oversees planning issues across the Group from the inception of projects to completion, including everything from single high-value plots through to major strategic land promotions. With extensive planning consultancy experience, Duncan provides invaluable planning advice on acquisitions and steers Acorn’s proposals through the planning system.

With over 30 years of experience, progressing from graduate site QS, Contract Surveyor, Design and Build Manager, Regional Design Build Manager, and subsequently Regional Manager for a National Contractor, David gained invaluable insight into the industry. Joining Acorn in 2007, David has been closely involved in the development of the business in Cornwall and is in daily contact with Contractors, Architects, Engineers, Planners, and many others when helping assess live and future developments.

David Brunton

David joined Acorn Blue in May 2015 after running his own construction management company for ten years. David has over 35 years experience in managing both building and civil engineering projects and brings a wealth of experience to the team, helping to drive the company forward to being its own builder/ developer in the region.

Andrew Strathdee BA, MSc

Andrew worked as an architectural technician for Michael Auckett Architects prior to receiving his degrees in Architecture, and Masters in Project Management. Before moving to Cornwall he worked in London for 4 years as a Section manager for Laing O’Rourke construction, working on several BSF projects, as well as a prestigious, luxury, residential renovation. Before joining Acorn Blue in Newquay he also gained experience site managing on several small sites across Cornwall. Working as part of the land team, Andrew’s role is to find profitable sites, with an emphasis on off-market opportunities and helping to bring these prospects to fruition.

Nicola Rafferty

Nicola joined the Acorn Blue sales team in October 2010 and has now moved to the land department to assist with managing on-going projects and appraising potential new sites. Having lived in Cornwall all her life, Nicola has an extensive knowledge of the area and feels spoilt to be able to work in such great coastal locations.

Mark is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with an MSc in Construction Project Management. He has 17 years experience previously working for Alfred McAlpine, Laing O’Rourke, Taylor Lewis and Currie & Brown on a varied range of residential, healthcare and commercial projects across Yorkshire, Lancashire, Devon and Cornwall.

 

Richard Roach BSc (Hons) MCIOB

Design and Build Manager

Richard is a Chartered Builder and holds a BSc in Construction. After completing his Degree Richard joined Interserve PLC and progressed into Design Management. Richard has worked on a number of projects across sectors including Healthcare, Education, Residential and Office. Richard has experience in a wide range of construction techniques and implementing a sustainable design.

Chris Trew

M&E Design Manager

With seven years of experience, working for T Clarke as Bid Manager with 18 years further experience working in the industry as an M&E designer and procurement manager. Chris covers all regions and reviews and assesses the proposed M&E layout and design, including routing of pipework and ductwork.

Mike Scott BSc (Hons)

Project Manager

Since joining Acorn in 2016, Mike has been the Project Manager for the Dunes project in Perranporth, where he works closely with consultants and contractors to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget. Mike has a wealth of experience in construction project delivery including planning and construction management.

Wayne Rundle

Project Coordinator

With 32 years of working in the construction industry from joinery to senior site management on a varied amount of projects within the South West, Wayne is now bringing his experience to the client side of construction as a Project Coordinator. Wayne’s role is to liaise with contractors on site and the project manager and sales team.

Andy White

Site Manager

Andy is an experienced Site Manager and has worked in the industry for over 30 years. He has a wealth of knowledge having worked on numerous projects throughout Cornwall including industrial, educational and residential developments. Most recently he has worked on the construction of 36 apartments at One Lusty Glaze for Midas on behalf of Acorn Blue in Newquay and 64 apartments at Tregarn, Pentire.

Anthony Rodda

Assistant Site Manager

Antony has worked in the construction industry for many years, previously working for Interserve Construction for 14 years. Site managing major projects such as Help for Hero’s at Plymouth, The Ben Ainslie Sports Centre at Truro School, Peninsula Dental School at the Royal Cornwall Hospital and PFI initiatives for the Cornwall Schools refurbishment projects. Antony had extensive experience in civil engineering and groundworks roles and also worked for Network Rail 6 Years.

Denise Fleming

Construction Facilitator

Denise started with Acorn in January 2014 as a Construction Facilitator, dealing with aftercare, ensuring that defects and other snagging issues are rectified as quickly and efficiently as possible, engaging with the owners, internal clients and external contractors. She has recently taken on the role of snagging the properties after construction and prior to occupation.

Peter Williams

Aftercare Coordinator

With over 40 years in the construction industry, Peter has experienced all aspects of the trade from carpenter to construction management. For the last 20 years, he has been involved in the health and safety aspects and customer aftercare. Peter is responsible for the handover of each property to its new owners and deals with any queries or questions they may have about their new home.

Sean Butcher

Regional Sales Manager

Sean joined Acorn Blue’s sales team in 2010, after having gained experience working for several London based estate agents.

Anne Williams

Sales Coordinator

Anne has been with Acorn since 2008 and has been a part of every sale in the region. As Sales Coordinator, Anne will liaise with solicitors on the legal set up of upcoming developments and oversee all sales through to exchange and legal completion.

Sara Brunton BSc (Hons)

Copywriter

Sara joined Acorn in 2016 and works alongside the marketing team to promote the Acorn brand by producing articles for industry press, local media and Acorn’s in-house magazine. Sara is a STEM graduate with a background in research and also has many years experience providing editorial, PA and administrative support.

Tom McNeill

Technical IT Engineer

Tom works alongside Acorn’s IT Director, Steven Hurry to administer the IT requirements and support for all users in Acorn’s regional offices. Tom is also responsible for the installation and support of the networking infrastructure for new build projects.

Rowena Arthur

Office Administrator

Rowena has worked for the Acorn Property Group since 2006 and after a short break to travel, she rejoined in 2010. Rowena is often the first point of contact and assists in the day to day running of the office.

Neil Blight

Maintenance

Neil works alongside the aftercare team and is responsible for any maintenance works to the properties we design and build. Neil has always worked in the construction industry and has experience dealing with new builds and refurbishments in both residential and commercial projects.

Robin Squire

Regional Managing Director

With 25 Years of residential development experience working in both technical and land buying functions, Robin has a very broad knowledge base of all aspects of the development process. He worked for architects and PLC house builders in Bristol before joining Acorn Blue in 2007 as Development Director.  In 2012 Robin returned to Bristol to head up Acorn Bristol, where he has successfully grown the region.

Dave Gittins BSc (Hons)

Dave joined the Acorn Blue team in the South West as Project Manager in March 2010 but relocated to Acorn’s Bristol Office in 2013 after being promoted to Regional Construction Manager. To progress his career Dave recently graduated with a degree in Building Surveying through The College of Estate Management. Dave works closely with consultants and contractors to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Mark Jensen BAppSc

Commercial Manager

Mark has 20 years commercial management experience in the construction and development sectors including residential, commercial, industrial and refurbishment projects both in the UK and abroad.

Mark leads land acquisition and pre-construction commercial undertakings from project feasibility estimates to detailed cost planning, throughout the planning and design development processes including project risk analysis, logistics and programming, value engineering and due diligence assessments. He provides ongoing continuity of all commercial functions through the construction phase with main and sub-contract procurement, supply agreements, contract negotiation and administration, and final accounting.

With over 13 years experience in residential and mixed-use development,  Ed has experience of acquiring a broad range of sites from rural exceptions sites for affordable housing to large strategic allocations.  At Acorn Ed is responsible for site identification, appraisal and acquisition.

Amy Proctor BSc (Hons)MRICS

Land Manager

Amy has extensive residential development experience having started her career in London. Alongside qualifying as a Planning and Development Chartered Surveyor, Amy secured key planning permissions for major developments and acquired new land opportunities, specialising in brownfield sites. At Acorn, Amy will actively seek new land opportunities and manage key regeneration sites.

Harry Sedman MRTPI

Development Manager

Harry is a Chartered Town Planner and has worked in planning and design consultancy since 2010. His expertise lies in undertaking detailed land and building appraisals, followed by adopting a project management role, post acquisition of a site. Harry has overseen and managed a wide range of residential projects across the South West, assisting in delivery across all stages of the development process.

Amy Scammell BSc (Hons)

Development Manager

Amy joined the Bristol team after graduating from The University of Portsmouth with a degree in Property Development. Amy’s role is to assist in all parts of the development process including assessing the profitability of land opportunities and working alongside Robin, Dave and Duncan to ensure the successful delivery of a project.

Kelly Brown LLB GradDip MRICS

Kelly has a wealth of experience in all aspects of development including appraisals, acquisition, planning and construction. Since joining Acorn in 2015, Kelly has been the Project Manager for the prestigious Hope House development in Bath and is now working on exciting Harbourside development, Brandon Yard.

Darren Sumpter

Pre-Construction Manager

Darren has worked in construction on the contracting side for 25 years, having started out as a site engineer. Prior to joining the Acorn team, Darren spent three years working on tenders looking at the opportunities within the tender design and using his experience to develop the design and to deliver the scheme within the available budget.

Tom Dickason-Palmer BA (Hons)

Tom joined Acorn after graduating from the University of Manchester’s School of Architecture.  At Acorn, Tom works closely with design teams, overseeing operations and ensuring high standards are met throughout all aspects of design.

Daniel Miles (BSc) Hons

Quantity Surveyor

With 10 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Daniel’s role is to assist in estimating and managing construction management contracts, whilst also dealing with procurement and the appointment of sub-contractors. Daniel works to ensure all projects are delivered within budget.

Tobyn Tribbeck

Contracts Manager

Tobyn has spent over twenty years in the construction world. He has worked in London, the South West and mainland Europe as a Project Manager, overseeing high-end residential developments as well as commercial office fit out and historical restoration work. He spent ten years running a property development company and joined Acorn Bristol in September 2017, where he works closely with contractors; monitoring programmes, quality control and health and safety.

Richard Baker

Aftercare Manager

With over 30 years in the construction industry from working on site to managing his own building company, Richard brings a wealth of experience to Acorn. Richard is responsible for the hand over of each property to new owners and dealing with any queries or questions they may have about their new home.

Bernice McKenna

Regional Sales Manager

With over 18 years experience within the house building industry, Bernice works closely with Acorn’s bespoke product to deliver the company’s individuality in design and attention to detail direct to the new homeowner.

Charlotte Hale

Having joined Acorn from a national PLC house builder, Charlotte has a strong background in property sales, especially in the Bristol and Somerset area. Charlotte’s role is to liaise with estate agents and the sales team to ensure the high-quality homes, developments and the brand are promoted well.

Hannah Twentyman

Having previously worked for a National PLC house builder, Hannah has extensive knowledge of the new build sales process, Hannah’s role at Acorn is to liaise with solicitors on the legal set up of upcoming developments and to oversee all sales through to exchange and legal completion.

Tom first joined Acorn Blue in August 2014 as a Junior Sales Negotiator. Tom has since become the Sales Negotiator for Acorn’s new sites in and around South Devon. As a Sales Negotiator, Tom has the first interaction with prospective buyers; helping them to select their new dream home.

With 10 years experience in the construction industry, Luke procures the very best materials for new-build developments by working with suppliers and sub-contractors. Working with pre constructions teams from early design,  Luke’s role also encompasses product research and looking for new innovative products to be used in each and every design.

Danica Clements BA (Hons)

Danica was introduced to the property industry whilst studying marketing at university where she completed a years placement at a national house builder. Since graduating, Danica has gained experience working for a large PLC house builder and a custom build housing developer. At Acorn, Danica’s role is to manage all marketing activity for the group.

Cassie supports the Marketing team to ensure that all administrative duties are carried in relation to each development as well as for the Acorn Property Group. Cassie is responsible for managing Acorn’s internal comms as well as managing Acorn’s social media platforms. Cassie holds a degree in Graphic Design.

After graduating from The University of Portsmouth with a degree in Property Development, Laura went on to work in an estate agency and for a large PLC. At Acorn, Laura’s role is to manage the day to day running of the Bristol office and to assist the team with a variety of tasks.

With 34 Years of experience in the building, maintenance and construction industry, Vince has worked on many housing, school, hospital, office and warehouse projects. At Acorn, Vince is with responsible for aftercare duties to the properties we design and build in the Bristol region.

James Groombridge

With over 30 years residential experience, James has worked for some major PLC House builders at Managing Director level prior to joining Acorn. James has spent the last 10 years working in South Wales and The Cotswolds building over 5000 new homes and apartments. As such James has a very broad knowledge of all aspects of the development process.

With over 30 years experience in property development, Peter acts as a consultant to help identify new development opportunities, guiding the planning process alongside other team members and helping to ensure the delivery of profitable ventures.

Ian Griffiths

Ian is responsible for all aspects of construction across Wales and the Cotswolds. With over 45 years industry experience, including 20 years as a Construction Director with a major PLC house builder, Ian has extensive knowledge of new build ranging from urban renewal to high rise apartments and greenfield housing developments.

Paul Martin

Land Manager (Cotswolds)

With over 25 years of experience within the house building industry, Paul is highly motivated to identify new sites, manage planning, legal and technical matters, and to acquire land and buildings for regeneration. At Acorn Paul is focusing on the expansion of the region into the Cotswolds, Worcester and Gloucester areas.

With almost 20 years experience in the construction industry,  Martyn’s experience has been primarily focused on the residential development sector. Prior to joining Acorn, Martyn worked for national house builders and main contractors as the commercial lead on many prestigious and landmark development schemes.

With a strong background in construction, Georgia’s role is to ensure the smooth and effecting running of all projects and act as the key liaison between Acorn, the principal contractor and our consultants. Georgia holds a BSc in Architectural Engineering and Design Management and an MSc in Construction Project Management.

With over four years experience at a national PLC house builder, Jessica has a strong background in the new build industry. Jessica’s role is to liaise with estate agents and the sales team to ensure every development and home is promoted well. Jessica has won awards for her work including ‘National Sales Adviser of the Year’.

Stuart Callaghan LLB (Hons)

Stuart has over 20 years residential experience and is also a qualified Solicitor. With experience of selling his own land to developers before joining a mid-sized house builder as a Development Partner and latterly working as Managing Director of a private development company, Stuart has extensive knowledge of all stages in the development process.

Nicola Bascombe

With 16 years experience in residential development, Nicola has experience of acquiring a broad range of sites for 100% affordable housing through to large-scale mixed-use at the other end. Nicola’s role as Land Manager is to identify, evaluate and secure land/opportunities for residential development to help contribute to the Company’s growth.

Andrew Taplin BSc (Hons)

Andrew has 20 years experience in development and contracting covering residential, commercial, industrial and refurbishment projects. Having worked on both ‘client’ and ‘contractor’ sides he is an invaluable link between Acorn and our network of contractors. Andrew’s role is to work alongside the design team to help value engineer projects and to streamline the build process whilst maintaining Acorn’s high standards.

After graduating with a first class honours BSc Property Development, James joined Acorn South as a Graduate Development Surveyor. Predominantly working in the land team, he is also working towards his MRICS qualification.
