Acorn x Wanderlands Partnership

We have proudly partnered with carbon offset natural solutions provider, Wanderlands, to help drive down our core and residual carbon footprint. In every way possible, we are committed to driving down our core emissions, however, the fact remains that everything we do from sending and receiving emails to recycling office materials to driving to work or site creates a carbon footprint. This type of carbon is often referred to as ‘businesses residual carbon’ and Wanderlands are helping us to address this, now and in the future. Wanderlands will assess both our ongoing core and residual carbon footprint and support us in designing and implementing ongoing sustainable offset solutions.

Our first project with Wanderlands is to offset our 2019/20 carbon footprint of 200tCOassociated with our operational offices. In February of this year, 1,140 native broadleaf trees were planted including species such as the majestic Oak and Beech at a location on the outskirts of Croscombe Village, Wells, Somerset. This site known as Paradise Hill will be open to the public and is currently undergoing restoration and enhancement.

Watch our film to find out more about Wanderlands and our partnership with them as Julian Hampson, Acorn Design Director and Acorn Green Ambassador, visits the trees we’ve planted in the village of Croscombe, Somerset:

We are very excited to have commenced our journey to play our part in protecting our planet for generations to come.
