Award-winning developer Acorn Property Group has completed on the purchase of Alliance House, located on Baldwin Street in the core of Bristol’s vibrant and bustling city centre.
Managed by Acorn’s Bristol office, the mixed-use development comprises the conversion and restoration of a Victorian five-storey retail and office parade. Acorn has recently gained planning approval for the conversion of office space into forty-four apartments with the ground floor and basement remaining as retail space.
Located in close proximity to the harbourside and surrounded by an abundance of local amenities, shops, bars and restaurants as well as many of Bristol’s must-see attractions, the development is perfectly situated for commuting by foot or using public transport.
Robin Squire, Regional Managing Director of Acorn Bristol, says “We recognise that a lot of the development within the city centre has been focused on student accommodation so we are pleased to be contributing to the housing needs of the local community by providing quality starter homes and giving first-time buyers the opportunity to get on the property ladder in a central location. Over the past few years, Baldwin Street has been the subject of significant development and regeneration and we are excited to be part of this. We hope that works will begin on-site in the summer and look forward to giving this building a new lease of life”.
Alliance House is the latest regeneration site for the Bristol region following on from the success of Brandon Yard, located opposite Brunel’s SS Great Britain on the harbour, Loft House in Bishopston and Brooks Dye Works which launches at the end of the month in St Werburghs.
