Bournemouth After Sunset

November 17, 2017

After a day at work or a long shopping day, once the sun sets over Bournemouth the town comes back alive with its diverse range of restaurants, bars, clubs and nightlife, it’s no wonder Bournemouth has been awarded a Purple Flag for entertainment for many years.

Whether you study in the city, work in the area or have called Bournemouth home for many years, there is always something different to see and do after dark and all within walking distance of our apartments at The Chocolate Box on Christchurch Road.

Restaurants:

Whatever tantalises your taste buds Bournemouth has a great range of restaurants, enough for you to try a different one every night for over a year! From French eateries with uniquely intimate atmospheres to African cuisine, Lebanese, Japanese and noodle bars, or enjoy home cooked local food or freshly caught fish in a seafront restaurant overlooking the beach and famous pier. Independent restaurants and major food chains ensure you always have plenty of options for a family night out or a romantic meal for 2.

Pubs, bars and clubs:

The town has a bar or nightclub to suit whatever mood you are in. Sip fine cocktails surrounded by elegance, glamour and a romantic setting or choose to bust a groove on the dancefloor. The town is bustling with cutting-edge bars, cool clubs and drinking cubby holes to suit any lifestyle.

Entertainment:

Many hotels throughout the town welcome passers-by in to enjoy the evening entertainment, the hotels on the East Cliff around The Chocolate Box offer live music, games evenings and entertainment shows for you to watch. Bournemouth Pavilion attracts West End musicals, music artists such as Lulu and Matt Cardle and dance competitions, whereas Bournemouth International Arena hosts the annual Bournemouth Summer Festival and attracts stars such as Paloma Faith, Barry Manilow, Little Mix and Gary Barlow and is one of the largest venues for entertainment and events in southern England.
