For any history buffs, moments from Bonvilston you will find the National Trust owned Dyffryn House and Gardens, where you can explore 55 acres of Edwardian garden design.

Just 5 miles from Cottrell Gardens is the vibrant market town of Cowbridge. Here, you will find a wonderful selection of independent coffee shops, restaurants, bars and pubs with offerings of the highest quality and diversity. If you are shopping for gifts, why not visit The Bay Tree, a beautiful independent florist arranging flowers for all occasions. If food is what you are seeking, take a trip out to the newly opened Forage Farm Shop, and check out their great selection of seasonal food produced locally on Penllyn Estate Farm.

The breathtaking scenery of The Vale cannot be missed. Just a short drive from Bonvilston, you will find the Glamorgan Heritage Coast boasting 14 miles of unspoilt coastline, spectacular cliffs, secluded coves and ever-changing seascapes. The renowned Wales Coast Path can be explored from Ogmore by Sea to Porthcawl and beyond, a beautiful route that takes in golden beaches, dramatic cliffs and Ogmore Castle.
