Show Home Spotlight: Brandon Yard

August 20, 2019

If you’re looking for a waterside home offering the perfect blend of history and contemporary city living then visit our award-winning Bristol Harbourside development, Brandon Yard.

In partnership with Galliard Homes, Brandon Yard is a beautiful collection of fifty-eight homes located on Bristol’s floating harbour, set opposite Brunel’s SS Great Britain, an area steeped in history and full of atmosphere.

Brandon Yard features the refurbishment and conversion of two Grade II listed stone buildings, together with carefully designed new build apartments.

New Retort House has been carefully designed to complement the surrounding architecture of the retained Victorian gasworks buildings; Oculus House and Engine House.

The Show Home at New Retort House benefits from spacious open plan living with floor to ceiling windows giving a light and airy feel. With interiors by WN Interiors, the space is complemented with locally sourced vintage pieces set amongst a warm colour palette of grey, moss green and highlights of gold and black.

Commenting on the thought process behind the design, Nick Scott from WN Interiors said:
“Our vision was to create a design that appealed to Brandon Yard’s wide and varied target market from down-sizers to first time buyers. The carefully selected materials were used to inspire and portray a feeling of refined, paired back luxury.

Acknowledging the industrial history behind the site, we used a combination of vintage items mixed with modern pieces to strike the balance between old and new.

The use of light and space was a key consideration, with the window treatments designed to allow maximum light into the apartments giving each home a fresh and spacious feel.”

In addition to the Show Home, Brandon Yard has opened a new View Home in Oculus House, once home to the gasworks purifier – an iconic reminder of the site’s rich heritage. Sensitively restored into fifteen 1 and 2 bedroom apartments.

Designed to suit many lifestyles, the homes at Brandon Yard will be ready to move in later this summer and have proved extremely popular with over 80% now sold. Why not take a closer look via our new virtual tour.

The View Home at Oculus House is available to view via the Marketing Suite open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am – 5pm with the Show Home available to view by appointment.
